New students often ask why I spends most of its time on just two instruments — Nifty and Bank Nifty — when there are hundreds of stocks and dozens of other indices to choose from.
Liquidity changes everything about execution
Both indices carry some of the deepest liquidity available to Indian retail traders. That depth means tighter spreads, more reliable fills near your intended price, and far less slippage during fast moves — all things that matter more to a scalper's actual returns than most strategy tweaks do.
Fewer instruments, deeper pattern recognition
Trading the same two charts every day builds a kind of pattern memory that's hard to replicate by splitting attention across twenty stocks. I can often tell you what a specific gap-up open on Bank Nifty tends to do by the second candle — that comes from repetition, not talent.
Where we do look beyond the two
This doesn't mean we ignore everything else. Select F&O stocks, commodities and currency pairs show up in my daily notes when a genuinely clean setup appears. But the core curriculum, and the bulk of live sessions, stay anchored to Nifty and Bank Nifty because that's where a beginner's screen time is best spent first.
